One of our young people, Hannah, has been serving with PAIS Preston for the past year. We have enjoyed seeing her faith develop, and her experiences as she shared in schools and other ministries. Here is a short report from her on the year:
“This year on Pais was amazing! God did some incredible things.
First of all this year has been amazing working with my team. It was awesome to have an international team full of different cultures. Although it was challenging i would never look back on making the decision to join Pais. It has helped me to develop in many areas like confidence in public speaking and helping me come out of my comfort zone.
As a Pais team this year we had many opportunities to share the Gospel in schools through different things like assemblies, lunch clubs, RE lessons, PSHE lessons and things like faith days and workshops. It was amazing that in everything we did we could bring Jesus into it and share the gospel with young people we came across.
Here’s a highlight I would love to share with you from my year: In one of our weekly lunch clubs we did a lunch club on baptism. It was great and the young people was really interested and asking questions. At the end I did an appeal ‘if anyone would like to be baptised could raise your hand’ I didn’t limit God but what he did was incredible. Every single young person lifted their hand except one girl who had already been baptised. But it doesn’t stop here! It goes on. One girl afterwards spoke with a youth leader and went on the baptism course and a few weeks later was baptised! How amazing!”
