At Hope Church Rotherham we are passionate about missions, about fulfilling the Great Commission, and about sending people out into ‘all the world’. One of our precious young people, who has served faithfully in the Worship team and more, is off to China. Although we can’t be too specific about her location and vocation for security reasons, why not read a little about her journey below…
“Back in January, God clearly called me to spend part of this year in China. It seemed to come out of nowhere, but one thing I know to be true is that His plans and His ways are infinitely greater and higher than ours. The following week I spent praying about the trip until it was confirmed in my spirit, and I was sure it was the right step. Eventually it was organised that I would leave at the start of June and return in September. In so many ways God has been preparing me for this trip even before I knew it would be happening – His ways are perfect. I look back now and see the truths planted in me and the lessons I have come to learn are those which will carry me and lead me into taking greater steps of faith in China than I would have ever been able to otherwise. I don’t have a definitive idea of what I will spend each day doing in China yet, so it is difficult for me to tell you what this trip will consist of. All I would ask is that you might pray for the protection of God, and above all, pray that the will of God might be done.
There is no greater joy than seeing the plan of God worked out in your life, and knowing that His hand will guide every step you take. He only asks that we might pursue Him completely and be obedient to His voice, whenever and wherever He calls us, for ‘His will won’t ever take you where His grace will not sustain you’.”
